Delicious Ice Cream and Sorbet Recipes

Mocha Ice Cream (6 servings)

 

 

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsps instant coffee granules 

  • 60ml / 4 tbsps butter

  • 120g / 4oz soft brown sugar

  • 60ml / 4tbsps cocoa

  • 75ml / 5 tbsps water

  • 380ml / 13fl oz evaporated milk, chilled

Preparation Method

Put the coffee, butter, sugar, cocoa and water into a saucepan, and heat gently.

Stir the mixture until melted, bring it to the boil.  Cool.

Beat the chilled evaporated milk in a bowl, until it is thick and frothy.  Mix it into the cool mixture, beating until it is well blended.

Pour the mixture into a freezer container and freeze, uncovered, until slushy.  Beat the ice cream well and refreeze until firm.
